Basic Safe Sanctuaries training at Ogallala First UMC
October 16, 2010, at 1:00PM- The Ogallala First UMC will be hosting a Safe Sanctuaries training opportunity on Saturday, Oct. 16. Safe Sanctuaries certification enables members and staff of your congregation to ensure members, new members and guests that their place of worship is a safe environment for their families to worship, take part in child care, programs and special events. It’s an added “seal of distinction” that churches can use to promote their programming and worship experience. All adult volunteers traveling with youth on VIM trips are required to have Safe Sanctuary certification.
The training will take place Saturday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. (MDT). The cost is $20. The class is approximately 2.5 hours long.
